About Mind maps for requirement management
Managing requiremens is needed to make sure requirements receive the right level of attention in a design process. By providing attention to requirements, the end-result is properly based on the input given, while stakeholders are well informed throughout the process. However, maintaining requirements in a long list often results in a lack of overview, and information overload. We therefore advise to manage requirements in a mind map.
Managing requirements works best in a mind map, because:
- It provides structure and overview
- It allows discussing at requirements at a high-level of abstraction, as well as diving into the details
- It increases traceability of requirements; who is the source of this requirement?
